Vancouver’s prosperity is evident but delving deeper surfaces some disappointing realities. As noted in Prosperity for All Through a Healthy Communities Approach by the City of Vancouver, 2017:

• About 44% of people in Vancouver, or more than 250,000 live in families with incomes less than the living wage.
• Vancouver has among the highest gap in income between rich and poor relative to other major cities in Canada.

My last regular volunteer role was on the Board of a housing nonprofit and I know how much time it requires. I admire the many people working hard to ensure everyone is taken care of in Vancouver. I’ve been exploring ways to best support them and have landed on this…

If we work together in the sale or purchase of your home, I’ll donate at least 50% of my total commission to a Vancouver nonprofit.

You’ll receive excellent service, a local nonprofit will receive a substantial donation, and I’ll work with a cool client. You and I can both be pleased to support the important work of a local nonprofit.

What does our working together look like?

This process will be straightforward and according to the same high-level of professional service I provide to each of my clients. We’ll craft a detailed plan that’ll beautifully achieve your goals. Here’s a past listing as an example of my work (link).

In terms of the donation, we can build upon this baseline:

• We select a local nonprofit that we both agree upon. While my focus is on housing, climate, inequity, and poisoned drugs, I’m open to others.
• You’re not an existing client of mine.
• I’ll donate at least 50% of my total commission earned from your sale and/or purchase. My overhead and expenses will be taken from the portion I retain.
